Introduction
The main purpose of the Management Information Systems department is to bring graduates who have knowledge of today’s information technologies, who have management skills in the preparation of information systems that will cover all functions of the business, regarding the production, sharing and storage of information necessary for business management’s decision-making, and management of these systems. For this purpose, our department provides 4-year practice-oriented training.
Our students have the opportunity to practice with the advanced and numerous computer laboratories of our university, so they can prepare themselves for the business world. They can use online databases for research. They can participate in the projects and competitions organized within the department, and have the chance to do a minor or double major in the desired department. With Erasmus, they can study at selected universities that we have agreements with in Europe. Thanks to the collaborations with companies that have an important place in the sector, our course contents are sector-oriented, so our students can get a chance to get a certificate.
Graduate students can work in middle and senior management levels in the public or private sector, which can meet the needs of an enterprise in areas such as e-commerce, decision-making systems, software development, process management, virtualization and cloud computing technologies, system management, business analysis and project management. They can also work as academicians in universities. In addition, graduate students can have academic career opportunities by continuing their master’s and doctoral programs.
