About Application Process

How we will take English or Turkish proficiency exam after finalizing my registration?

If you are a registered student please click here to fill the online form for exam. Only registered student can take the exam for English proficiency exam or Turkish proficiency exams to continue your studies.

What is a Conditional Acceptance Letter?

This is a document you get after paying the Tuition fee that confirms your conditional admission and required to Apply for visa.

Do you accept applications for fall and spring semester?

Yes we do, Fall semester is for the degree programs (Associate, Bachelors, Masters and PhD) while Spring semester is only for Masters and PhD programs.

What is the deadline for application?

Admission for Fall Intake will open from April 01, until September 30 every year.

Final Registration for Fall Intake opens from June 15, until September 30 every year.

Admission for Spring Intake opens every year in November 15, until February 30 every year.

Final Registration for Spring Intake opens every year in January 06, until February 28 every year.

How can I make sure that my courses are transferred?

Once your application for courses exemption gets approved, it will appear in your transcript.

Instructions for International Transfer Students?

During the registration process in the university, you will write an application to the Head of the Institute and then they will make decision that how many courses they can exempt for you. If you have, more queries feel free to ask.

Average estimated costs of accommodation and living expenses in Istanbul?

It may vary place to place and person to person according to the life style. As an average it’s 300 – 600 USD.

Does IAU offer any payment plans?

Yes we do, we offer installment options for the ease of the student. All the fee can be paid by 4 installments (Except Associate degree that has 2 installments)

About Current Students

How can I inform the university that I have received my residence permit card?

When you receive your residence permit card you can send the photo of front and back of the card to [email protected]

After graduation how can I apply for a residence permit?

Within 10 days of your graduation, you can apply for a short-term residence permit.

How I can get the transportation card?

You can apply for the transportation card after you have received the residence permit card.

Kindly visit any IETT branch with student letter,residence permit and passort. The nearest IETT branch station is Bahçelievler Metro Station.

How can I open a bank account in Turkey?

Each bank has its own rules for opening a bank account. You are required to provide a passport, residence permit, student letter, and address declaration form.

Where can I take my IAU student card?

You can take your student card from T Block, Ground floor students affairs department.

I forgot the UBIS password, How can I form a new password?

If you need a new password, you are required to visit the Student Affairs (T block-ground floor left side)

Master & Phd degree students are required to visit the Institute of Graduate Studies. (T block-ground floor right side)

My residence permit is going to be expired soon. How should I extend of my residence permit?

You can apply 60 days before the current residence permit expires and you can make an application through

I applied for the residence permit, Can I travel out of Turkey?

According to the rules and regulations of Migration Management, the residence permit applicants are highly recommended not to leave Turkey while their applications are under evaluation process. If their applications are positively evaluated they can visit Immigration Office to receive the permission letter for travelling.

Where can I take my student letter?

You are required to visit the Student Affairs (T block-ground floor left side)

I already have a short-term residence permit card .How can I transfer my residence permit card to a student? status?

After you are registered to IAU, you are required to apply for a transfer application via https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/

I have changed my department in the university,. What I am going to do update my residence permit?

You are required to take a new student letter and please make sure that the previous department cancellation date is written on it.

After that, you will visit Immigration Office to update your education information.

How To Connect to University’s Wi-Fi?

Your ubis (student portal) credentials are same for log in wifi.

 How To Obtain a Student Certificate?

You can visit student affairs department in T block entrance floor to get the student letter.
