Introduction

In the New Media Thesis Master Program, students will be able to integrate new communication tools with social media such as Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, İnstagram, Blog, etc. which are digital media and extensions and they will be able to produce content on these networks and control these networks with theoritical knowledge and practical applications aiming to educate individuals who can manage and have critical and aesthetic values. In the program, through ”integrated” and ”practice” oriented training, candidates will be able to adapt new media to the profession and to interpret new media in tne theoretical and critical platforms that closely follow the technological developments in the field of communication and cloesely follow the technological developments in the field of communication, media, culture and communication sectors.

A training program was developed thar takes into consideration the qualifications in the field of ”New Media” (content production, content management, application knowledge, creation of multimedia ground, digital language etc.) with multidisciplinary, traditional and critical approaches. The ”New Media Thesis Master’s Degree Program” aims to educate qualified personnel who will be able to use the mass media effectively and who will be able to listen to a wide range of voices and respond to the expectations of this field. The Faculty of Communication, together with the experienced academic staff and strong academic staff pursues continous success. During the two years of study, in the first year, students will be trained in new media transformation, digital age, new approaches in communication studies and terminology. In line with this information, we are planning to have students produce graduate theises that will contribute to digital based social studies which is an important need in the field of communicatiın. In this way, it is planned that the undergraduate, graduate students and academicians will create a databade of the academic work they will undertake on this field.
